What happens when a CRA RV Rally and a CRA Rental Rally Tradeshow take place at the same time? Twice as much fun!

The 2007 Spring RV Rally was in good hands even though former Wagonmaster Diann Wells of Quality Equipment Rentals (Inglewood, CA) has retired. Diann passed her title on to Desireé Ekstein of A Better Party (Lake Elsinore, CA). Thank you to Diann, who served as Wagonmaster for many years, planning and coordinating the annual spring and fall rallies. Thanks also to Desireé, who agreed to make arrangements for the March Rally, which took place during the Rental Rally Tradeshow in Bakersfield. Desireé did a great job and introduced a new menu concept. She gives us the following report:

“The March CRA Rental convention was great — the entire show was enjoyable and informative and the Kern County Fairgrounds were very nice.

"The RV Rally was so much fun. It was a good thing we planned for our potluck on Monday because that day the weather was beautiful. Everybody got settled in and met for 'Social Time,' followed by an 'Alphabet Potluck.' We sure had fun with it... 'Elsinore Valley’s Easy Bake Chicken,' 'Haz Ham,' and 'Shipley Spaghetti,' just to mention a few of the dishes. We were filled!

"After dinner we were able to visit and share stories with everyone around the relaxing campfire, which George (from Haz Party Rentals) always made sure was big enough to keep us warm and toasty.

"The fun didn’t stop there. The next day a group of us went to the famous 'Dewars Candy and Ice Cream Shop' and were taken on a tour of the place. Everybody got a kick out of the 'fashion' hair nets that we had to wear. It was interesting to see a 75 pound slab of candy get squeezed down to a bit size piece of taffy.

"From there some went off shopping and some went back to their RV’s, but everybody agreed that the whole event was very nice.”
